Nature and needs of Exceptional Learners 

     This class was given by Dr. Ivelice Cardon and one of the assignments given really helped me understand the difficulties special needs children go through whether it is in school or in the personal aspect of their lives. We learned ways to help and educate them; we also learned the history behind some of the provoked or hereditary mental or physical incapacities children have.

     The movie that the professor showed us is called The Fundamentals of Caring, it is about a teen that suffers from muscular dystrophy. We analyzed the movie and saw how different people deal with other incapacities. This made me learn that I should learn to be more empathetic and sympathetic with other people which is key for a teacher.
