Social Foundations of Education 

     This class was given by Dr. Ivelice Cardona and it was based on how social foundations and education intertwine in school. This was a very dynamic class, we mentioned the different types of social groups and we linked each one of them to education seeing how it affects student's life. Social groups can affect students positively or negatively, it all depends if their social groups were correctly developed in a healthy environment.

     It is very interesting how education is embedded in our day-to-day life no matter what we do. I consider it very important to know the influence that society has on education and vice-versa. This class also helped me understand social groups and to have an eye out for my students in the future ensuring their well-being in my class.
